**Position** Housekeeping Supervisor

**Reports to** Executive Housekeeper

**Main Purpose of the Job**

To be responsible for supporting the Executive Housekeeper and Rooms Division Manager with the professional and cost effective running of the department achieving standards of cleanliness and guest care.

**Key Duties**
- Daily room allocations
- Reviewing of staff manning levels on a daily basis, to conduct room allocations and planning of manning levels
- Ensure security of guest rooms, hotel and department keys
- Liaise with all operational hotel departments - logging any issues or special requests
- Daily checking of bedrooms and designed staff areas to maintain standards
- Ensure the safe storage, issue and effective use of cleaning materials and equipment as specified by the manufacturers and procedures manual
- Comply weekly rosters according to hotel occupancy
- Ensure all timesheets are signed on a daily basis, making sure that all hours worked are true and correct
- Be competent in the running of the hire and clean laundry operation and ensure the cost effective use of linen and assist with inventories as requested by the Housekeeper
- Ensure the correct handling of guest laundry and lost property
- Liaise with Front Office and Maintenance regarding “ready” rooms ensuring guest requirements are met
- Respond to special requests with a sense of urgency
- Ensure VIP rooms have correct amenities as requested by Front Office
- Ensure site inspection rooms are up to standard
- Ordering of guest amenities and hotel linen, ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained.
- Action all guest requests immediately
- Assist Executive Housekeeper in ensuring the Housekeeping financial performance is in line with budget expectations
- Ensure security of hotel and department keys
- Logging and managing for the hotel lost property
- Any other reasonable request as required by Hotel Management

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Auckland City, Auckland: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
