As a champion of artificial intelligence best practices, you will provide technical and thought leadership to ensure that we adhere to industry standards and develop simple and scalable solutions while achieving engineering excellence. You will have exceptional communication skills, enabling you to effectively articulate challenges to your team and the wider engineering practice. Working in a cross-functional Agile environment, you will collaborate efficiently with others to achieve shared objectives.
This role will be involved creating a world-class product with involvement in all aspects of the product lifecycle, from gathering requirements, brainstorming ideas, market analysis, and MVP definition, to building an MVP and working with your team to deliver the MVP into production.
- Design and develop artificial intelligence models and algorithms for our career pathing and talent mobility products, adhering to best practices for scalability and efficiency.
- Collect and analyse large, complex data sets, working closely with data scientists to build and validate predictive models that are accurate and reliable.
- Develop scalable and efficient AI pipelines and infrastructure to support our products, ensuring that the models can be trained and deployed quickly and reliably.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, data scientists, and other engineers to deliver high-quality AI solutions that meet business requirements, and ensure that the models are integrated seamlessly with the product.
- Conduct experiments to evaluate the performance of the AI models, and optimize them for accuracy and efficiency, using statistical analysis and visualization techniques to understand model behaviour.
- Build and maintain robust data processing, exploration, model training and evaluation tools, ensuring that they are well-documented and easy to use for other team members.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in artificial intelligence and related technologies, and actively share knowledge with the team through regular training sessions and workshops.
- Communicate technical information and progress updates to both technical and non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner, working closely with the product and business teams to ensure that the AI solutions align with the company's goals and values.
- Mentor and coach junior AI engineers and data scientists to promote their professional development and enhance overall team capabilities.
**Requirements**:
- Post-graduate or PhD degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in artificial intelligence, with a proven track record of delivering AI solutions in a production environment.
- Strong programming skills in Python, with experience in one or more of the following AI frameworks: TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
- Strong understanding of statistical modelling, hypothesis testing, and experimental design.
- Mastery of data processing, data analysis, and data visualization tools such as Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, and Seaborn.
- Experience with big data technologies such as AWS Redshift, Spark, Hadoop, or AWS EMR.
- Familiarity with software engineering best practices, including version control, testing, and continuous integration/continuous delivery.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to debug and troubleshoot complex issues.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
