We are looking for an experienced and dynamic a **Store Manager and a cook** in our Souvlaki store in Canterbury. If you have a passion for customer service, team leadership, and food service, this is the perfect opportunity for you to showcase your skills in a fun, fast-paced environment.

As a **Store Manager**, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the store, ensuring smooth service, excellent customer satisfaction, and efficient staff management. You’ll play a key role in driving sales, managing inventory, and maintaining store standards.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Oversee the daily operations of the store, ensuring high standards of service and customer satisfaction.
- Manage, train, and motivate a team of staff to provide excellent customer service and adhere to company policies.
- Monitor and control inventory / stock, ordering supplies, and ensuring cost control measures are in place.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Handle customer queries, complaints, and feedback in a professional and timely manner.
- Creating work rosters and ensure staffing levels align with business needs.
- Achieve sales targets and create promotional advertisements etc. to increase store revenue.
- Ability to work in flexible working hours, including evenings and weekends.

**Skills & Experience Required**:

- Management related experience for the last 3 years OR level -4 or higher qualifications in similar industry.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Knowledge of inventory management, sales reporting, and cost control.

As a **Cook**, you will be responsible for preparing Mediterranean/Greek-style food, especially souvlaki, kebabs, and grilled dishes.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and cook meals according to menu requirements
- Ensure food quality, presentation, and hygiene standards are met
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and follow food safety regulations
- Manage food storage and inventory
- Work efficiently under pressure and as part of a team

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience as a cook for minimum 3 years OR level 4 cookery qualification.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
- Good time management and teamwork skills

Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
