**About the Role**
- An exciting and unique opportunity is available for a podiatrist to be part of our team of highly skilled and motivated clinicians who manage people with high risk foot disease across the Waikato region.

The Podiatry team is based at the Waikato Regional Diabetes Service 26 Clarence Street, Hamilton and is a permanent position, 40 hours per fortnight. In this position, you may work across the in-patient service and various outpatient clinics within Waikato Hospital and the rural based hospitals. We also work closely with the Diabetes, Vascular, Rheumatology and Renal teams and services.

Key responsibilities of the role:

- Someone with experience or who is willing and enthusiastic to learn the skills and knowledge specific to the management of high risk foot disease
- Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team of clinicians who deliver a high standard of care to those with high risk foot disease
- Provide education to both patients and those with in the multi-disciplinary team and service
- Deliver improved outcomes for people with high risk foot disease

**About the Service**

Te Whatu Ora Waikato Regional Diabetes Service provides secondary level care to those within the Waikato Region. This expands as far as Coromandel, Taumarunui, Te Kauwhata and the Raglan coast. We have a large multi-disciplinary team and promote a positive approach to teamwork. We are committed to and support the learning and development of our staff to give the best possible care to our patients.

**About you**

Skills and experience you’ll need to be considered for the role:

- Podiatrist with current New Zealand practicing certifcate
- A current full drivers licence
- Eperience working within a hospital setting beneficial but not essential
- Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
