**The Opportunity**

As the Manufacturing and Engineering Manager for B&D Doors NZ, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and performance of the Christchurch and Auckland manufacturing sites and the engineering team supporting the business.

**Duties**:

- Actively lead 7 direct reports and 18 indirect reports.
- Ensure all team members are adequately trained in all aspects of their work
- Facilitate process improvement communication and improvement
- Ensure daily production schedules are adhered to and any non-compliance issues are addressed in a timely manner
- Maintain a workforce aligned with budgets and current demand (includes recruitment process participation)

**Skills & Experience**

As an effective leader, you will bring clear and professional communication skills with the ability to adapt to your audience. As a great team player, you’ll be able to self-manage, and work collaboratively with your peers in a constantly growing environment.

Other key skills and experience include:

- Relevant tertiary qualification and strong manufacturing and/or engineering experience to a leadership level (5-10 years).
- Garage door or construction experience will be ideal.
- Proven quality and process improvement.
- Demonstrated success in medium scale manufacturing and/or engineering site management.
