Our Industrial Digital team are at the forefront of digital technology adoption and transformation technologies and excited about emerging technologies of Industry 4.0, including Digital Twins, IIoT, VR, AR, AI, ML, cloud computing and BIM, which are all used every day across the team. Building on our current strong relationship foundation, we are looking for a Digital Consultant to join our New Zealand team as a partner and trusted advisor to our clients. From an overall perspective, you will be responsible for:

- Develop trusted advisor relationships with internal and external client stakeholders
- Use your knowledge of data science, optimisation and simulation to contribute to design solutions to a variety of technical problem statements
- Help our clients to answer hard questions through simulation and modelling by coding behavioural algorithms
- Contribute to the production of proposals and other material which support winning work
- Maintain an understanding of the industry, professional bodies, the Beca business and its clients, relevant standards and procedures
- Support and mentor others within the team and across the digital consulting discipline
- Develop discrete event simulation models using tools such as FlexSim, ExtendSim, and SchedulePro
- The ability to use linear integer programming to solve optimisation problems

Our team are right there alongside our clients answering hard questions that make their everyday better. Project work is varied and will bring new challenges and opportunities, our team can be working on network master planning right across the Asia Pacific, billion dollar port investments for mining, and even 300 million dollar greenfield food and beverage facilities.

You will be helping our clients optimise large capital decisions and joining a team that is driven to provide the best digital solutions and services to clients, and you will be passionate about the opportunities to transform businesses with digital technologies.

You will love to learn and share knowledge, bringing your fresh perspective. You will have knowledge of python and other modern coding languages that will see you use coding to model behavioural scenarios for our clients. You will enjoy working across different projects, industries, and disciplines with a range of both internal Beca project teams and our external clients, developing and delivering solutions and new digital offerings.

Our digital consulting roles are varied, challenging, dynamic and rewarding. You will be working with a motivated team of technical experts and digital consultants as well as software developers and engineers that combine engineering ‘know-how’ with enabling software and technologies.
