We are searching for a Maintenance / Engineering Supervisor to join the MMP team.
The workshop is based in Henderson, and the team services manufacturing plants on client’s sites, mainly in the Auckland region. Leading a team of 4, you will deliver excellent customer service to our clients and provide hands-on machinery maintenance and breakdowns services.
Reporting to the General Manager, this is a great opportunity to make your mark and develop your career further as MMP is set to grow.
**What is in it for you?**

**What your day-to-day will look like**:
- Completing hands-on maintenance work, breakdowns resolution and new machinery installation
- Providing operational support to the General Manager
- Scoping of work/projects
- Scheduling and planning of work, resources and projects
- Ensuring all company and client procedures are followed
- Collaborate with the Fabrication and management team
- Mentor, train and lead an effective team to ensure work is carried out safely and at a high standard
- Management and ordering of all supplies and materials
- Performing admin functions such as reporting, rostering, and preparing job orders and invoices
**About you**:
- 2-4 years of experience as a Fitter/Turner/Mechanical Engineer in a manufacturing plant
- A minimum of 2 years of team-leading experience
- Trade qualification in mechanical engineering or equivalent level of experience
- “Can-Do” attitude with a strong customer focus (no job is too small)
- Strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and quality
- EWP and Forklift certifications are ideal but not essential
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- An ability to think practically with problem-solving capability
- Excellent time management, planning and organisational skills
**Salary**: $35.00 - $41.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
