**About the Role**

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Healthcare Assistant to join our team.

Healthcare Assistants are instrumental in providing care to patients and supporting the clinical team. As a Healthcare Assistant you will assist nursing staff with patient cares (including personal care and patient watch) whilst maintaining a safe and clean work environment on the ward.

**About the Service**

Our service is a busy ward providing care for our acute general surgery patients, undergoing general surgical procedures within the ward environment and high dependency surgical patients in our 8 bed Surgical Progressive Care Unit (SPCU).

**About you**
- Ability to work all shifts - Morning, Afternoon and Nights
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A high attention to detail and the ability to relate to patients and their families.
- A good use of initiative and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent time management skills and a willingness to learn.
- You will be well accustomed to working within a fast-paced environment and prioritising your tasks continuously as your day evolves.
- Availability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Previous healthcare experience is desirable
