**Cooks Wanted** We are a busy restaurant located in Christchurch, open 7 days per week. We now require 3 full-time (guaranteed minimum 30 hours per week, Monday to Sunday rotating roster.) permanent cooks to join in our team. **Role and responsibilities**: - Setting up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment - Checking ingredients to make sure the quality and freshness - Preparing and Cooking food in various utensils and grillers - Seasoning, portioning, adding sauces to the food during/after cooking - Preparing food to meet client’s taste and dietary needs - Arrange food on plates or wrap it to be taken away - Storing and reserving food - Assisting in planning menus, estimating food and labour costs - Cleaning and restocking workstations and ensuring that all equipment is sanitized and prepared for the next shift. - Checking the cleanliness of equipment and operation of machines before each run, to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations - Assisting with training and coordinating with junior cooks or kitchen hands, as requested by Chef **To be successful you will need to**: - Have a relevant NZ level 4 qualification or equivalent qualifications/certificates - Have a "can-do" attitude and team Spirit - Excellent organization and time-management skills **Benefits we offer**: - Work with a great team that focuses on delivering excellence - A reputable company that truly values what you contribute - A knowledgeable, high-achieving, experienced and fun team - A competitive hourly rate of $25.00 to 30.00 per hour depending on learning abilities Our goal is to inspire people more than managing them.
