This is an exciting permanent, part-time opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to join our Kapiti Community Service.
As an Occupational Therapist working in this team, your day with be both exciting and varied. Your day will include a variety of rehabilitation based work. There will be assessments and interventions to support and maximise patient function at home, including return to work, fatigue management and strategies to encourage wellness both at home and in the community. Individual home visits will be an important part of your role.
Here at ORA we understand the value of good patient relationships. You will work with patients from diverse social and cultural backgrounds. We need you to demonstrate your excellent communication skills to build rapport with patients and their whanau. An understanding of interdisciplinary working, stroke rehabilitation and cognitive change would be an advantage.

With this in mind, you will enjoy working collaboratively with our Kapiti population alongside your allied health, nursing and medical colleagues. You will work within a friendly and supportive interdisciplinary team that works collaboratively and takes a patient centered and goal focused approach.

- Current APC and full registration with Occupational Therapy Board of New Zealand
- Experience in rehabilitation and working with older adults with communication and cognitive challenges
- A full driving license
