Cambridge, New Zealand Mico Full time

**Customer Service / Inwards Goods (fixed term) - Mico Cambridge**

Our
**Mico Cambridge** store is a busy branch, boasting a beautiful showroom while also providing trade solutions to a loyal trade customer base, including home builders and the local business sector.

**Mico New Zealand** is a trusted supplier of plumbing and bathroom products to the trade, retail and commercial sectors, with 69 branches and around 550 employees throughout New Zealand.

**The role**

We have an exciting role, where you’ll join a stable branch and enjoy the variety and opportunities of working with a close-knit, experienced team within a large organisation.

Reporting to the Branch Manager, this is a varied role that will see you involved mainly in sales on the Trade Counter, but also pitching in with the rest of the team when required to help out in the Inwards Goods area, cycle counting stock or occasionally driving the odd customer delivery to get an order out. Working behind the Trade Counter, you’ll ensure that our customers, who are made up of tradies, businesses and home-owners, are greeted with a cheerful smile and exceptional service, but even working in inwards goods or doing deliveries will bring your great customer service skills into play, as you liaise with them on their orders and support them to keep their businesses on the go

You’ll have the chance to learn our products, and this will give you the opportunity to progress in the branch, the business, and the organisation. Product or industry knowledge would be a real bonus, but we have heaps of great training materials, if you’re a willing learner

This is a fixed term (parental leave cover) full time role, working Mondays to Fridays and rostered Saturday mornings.

**About you**

To shine in this role, you’ll bring a customer-focused attitude and strong work ethic to the business and be prepared to work closely and flexibly with the rest of our team. Our Cambridge team work collaboratively and so your strong teamwork skills are essential to this role. The ability to build rapport and relationships should be your strength and you’ll be IT savvy too.

There will be manual handling required and so you’ll need to be physically fit. A current Class 1 drivers’ licence is required (full or restricted) and if you do have forklift experience then that would be a real bonus (but training will be provided)

**What we can offer you**

In return, we’ll offer you a great competitive package, excellent opportunities for training and development, and a strong and support team environment. As Mico New Zealand is also part of Fletcher Building, there are great opportunities for career training and development, plus big-company benefits, such as an Employee Education Fund and an exciting and forward-thinking new Parental Leave Policy.

The career opportunities are exciting Mico has a culture of career paths and development and career progression, with people in our business staying for up to 40 years and enjoying a varied career. For those coming into the business at an entry-level, we’re able to offer opportunities to start a career in Retail Sales, Warehousing & Distribution and Driving.

Please note, a full pre-employment medical, including a drug test, will be required and you must currently be legally entitled to live and work permanently in New Zealand.
- We are proud of the incredible diversity of people who make up our business As an Equal Opportunity Employer, we strive to create an inclusive environment for all our employees across our national network of branches throughout New Zealand._
