**Job Purpose**:
To provide excellent customer service, ensure responsible sale of alcohol, maintain store presentation, and support day-to-day operations in a liquor store environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Greet customers and assist with product selection based on preferences and requirements.
- Check ID and comply with legal requirements for alcohol sales (e.g., under the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012 in New Zealand).
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system and handle cash/card transactions accurately.
- Stock shelves, fridges, and displays in an organized and visually appealing manner.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with stocktakes and reordering.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards throughout the store.
- Open and close the store as required, following proper security procedures.
- Provide product knowledge and recommend new or seasonal items to customers.
- Manage any customer complaints or issues with professionalism.
- Follow all company and legal guidelines, including health and safety protocols.

**Skills and Experience**:

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of personal integrity and responsibility.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Physically fit - must be able to lift boxes and stand for extended periods.
- level 2 or higher qualification or 6 months work experience

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 - 40 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Work Location: In person
