**Are you motivated to participate in and learn about a newly installed automation line, the first of its kind in New Zealand' If so, we are seeking 3 Automation Co-Ordinators who are hands on and can assist the Factory Manager.**

**You will be expected to work on an average work 40 hours per week Monday through Friday, 0800 - 1700. However, being a seasonal business you will understand the days and hours of work may change to meet the demands of the business and may work a maximum of 48 hours each week and a minimum of 30 hours each week.**:
**Due to the nature of the role and working environment a Pre-Employment Drug & Alcohol Testwill apply.**:
**Principal responsibilities**
- Lead, train, and develop all workers within our automation facility
- Alongside the Factory Manager, effectively lead the team and assist with hours, raise issues, and concerns in respect of safety and wellbeing.
- Maintain inventory control of labels, monitor speed batcher & lining, strapping, automated racking system and other associated materials for these zones.
- Create and produce accurate labels prior to being printed for use of the relevant product/s
- Ensure printed labels are correct, checked and available for the automation lines (and manual line when applicable)
- Before feeding the lining into the machine, conduct a visual inspection of the material.
- Ensure this lining is ready for the operations and will need to monitor the lining on an adhoc basis to prevent run outs and quality concerns
- Before feeding the strapping material into the machines, conduct a visual check of the material
- In the event of incorrect data, damaged or jammed products, have the ability to control the relevant machinery/software to stop operations and assist in resolving the issues/s.
- Once the product is strapped, it will flow to the automated racking system whereby you will conduct a visual check for any damaged cartons.
- In the event there are any damaged cartons you are to remove them to ensure they are not despatched
- In the serious event of damaged or product issues, promptly communicate the relevant concern/s with the Factory Manager and Automation Co-ordinators.
- Ensure a constant, yet manageable flow and volume of product is ready to be collected for the forklift operators and communicate any events should they arise.
- Cease automation if absolutely necessary before either entering the racking system and or before being collected for the coldstore.
- Take ownership of submitting what stocks are required to be ordered in a timely manner to the Factory Manager to ensure sufficient levels without carrying excessive stock.
- In case of insufficient stocks and any stoppages, promptly communicate the relevant concern/s with the Factory Manager and other Automation Co-ordinators.
- Check receipt of product from the truck or forklift operator and ensure all details of the delivery are correct to Fisheries Regulations
- Ensure temperatures of the fish upon receipt are managed and monitored. This includes taking the necessary steps to manage temperatures whilst product is on the truck e.g., keep closed or close the side curtain
- Make sure the product and size being delivered for zone 2 is as advised and correct and any irregularities are communicated to the Factory Manager in the first instance
- Manage flow of product so that it does not remain in in either the main hopper or sizer in zone 2
- Maintain inventory control and take ownership of submitting what stocks are required to be ordered in a timely manner to the Factory Manager to ensure sufficient levels without carrying excessive stock.
- Via the Factory Manager, arrange for the required number of cartons to be delivered upstairs for the days production.
- Before cartons are loaded into the machinery and sent to Zone 2, with the team, conduct a visual inspection of the bases and lids.
- In the event of damaged or jammed cartons, control the machinery to stop the flow of cartons to Zone 2.
- In case of insufficient carton stock or any stoppages, promptly communicate the relevant concern/s with the Factory Manager and other Automation Co-ordinators.
- It is essential to monitor the product flow and water flow to ensure there is consistent and controlled volume of product entering through zone 2 to ensure efficient and manageable product to zone 3.
- Ensure that the sizer is monitored and the correct entry path for the size of product is accurate and acceptable into zone 3
- In the serious event of damaged or product issues, promptly communicate the relevant concern/s with the Factory Manager and Co-ordinators. Cease automation if absolutely necessary.
- Co-ordinate and direct Product Runner to ensure the whole automation area complies with hygiene protocols and best standards as reasonably practicable during pr ensuring no one person is placed at risk.
