Fantastic opportunity to join a highly successful Australasian manufacturer and distributor in their specialist precision sheet metal, fabrication and manufacturing division based in Christchurch.

With the continued growth of their business, they are looking for a highly organized and successful Sales Manager with solid experience in sheet metal or aligned engineering to join their team.

Working closely with the Business Manager and the technical and project teams, you will develop, maintain and manage a successful sales environment providing leadership, advice and guidance to improve and grow sales effectively and efficiently.

As Sales Manager, your key duties will include:

- Promote activities to increase sales in line with company growth targets
- Develop a sales plan, maximising gross profit, and identify new opportunities in the market through strong account management and business development
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients
- Provide reporting on sales activities and successes
- Undertake market research to determine new opportunities for the business
- Promote a safe working environment amongst all personnel and lead by example

To succeed in this role, you will bring an enthusiastic, responsive, and determined approach along with the following:

- Proven sales management/business development experience, ideally within the sheet metal or engineering sectors
- A good understanding of budgets and financials
- Strong leadership skills
- Excellent communication, influencing and relationship skills
- A customer centric ethos with energy and a drive to achieve results
- Good computer skills
