An established Whangarei-based transport company is looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking Truck Driver to join their team. Eligible applicants should have a clean NZ Class 5 or equivalent license and a background in transportation. The ability to work long hours (including weekends) is a must.

Duties include:

- Appropriate loading and securing goods for transportation purposes
- Following safety protocol when loading and unloading vehicles
- Transporting goods over land to and from customers
- Inspecting vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative
- maintenance
- Planning routes and meeting delivery schedules
- Ensuring load complies with load limitations and goods are safely distributed for transport
- Documenting and logging work/rest periods and kilometres spent driving
- Retaining fuel/toll receipts
- Documenting loads delivered, ensuring dockets are filled out correctly
- Complying with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, break periods etc) as well as with company policies and procedures
- Maneuvering trucks into loading or unloading positions
- Collecting and verify delivery instructions
- Reporting defects, accidents or violations

Successful applicants will be expected to work a minimum of 40 hours and a maximum of 70 hours per week at a rate of $29.66 per hour.
Applicants for this position should have a minimum of 2 years of trucking experience with a Class 5 License.

Suitable applicants may be required to provide transport services throughout all regions of both the North and South Islands of New Zealand with overnight stays as required.
Fork Hoist license preferable.
Suitable applicants must be self-motivated and able to work unsupervised.

Hourly rate is dependent on experience

**Salary**: $29.66 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 70 per week

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

- Whangarei, Northland: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Trucking: 2 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Class 5 Licence (preferred)
