Our Recreation, Sports and Events teams are hiring now for two Aquatic Senior Supervisors, one based at Parakiore Recreation and Sports Centre and one at Te Pou Toetoe: Linwood Pool._

**About the role | Ko te mahi nei**

In this role, you will:

- Support the Aquatics Team Leader through leading a team of lifeguards and ensuring standards such as operating procedures, Poolsafe, water quality, pool supervision, cleanliness and customer service are met.
- Supporting the Aquatics Team Leader with recruitment and training, and for the Parakiore role, pre-opening preparations.
- Supporting daily operations, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement
- You'll value building relationships and will be able to easily build a rapport with your team, community and your leader who will rely on you for support.
- You will also lead the delivery of the Waltham Summer pool and be partly based there during the summer months. (Te Pou Toetoe: Linwood Pool position only)

As the most important aspect of this job is leading people, we are looking for someone with serious potential to inspire, motivate and develop staff, empowering them to always achieve greatness for our customers.

**About you | Ko Koe Tēnei**

To be successful in this position you will:

- Have minimum of 3 years' practical experience in an aquatics or pool environment, including 12 months leadership experience.
- Hold a current Comprehensive First Aid Certificate (level 2) & current Pool Lifeguard Skills Award.
- Demonstrate the ability to take the lead and look for ways to make things better.
- Excellent attention to detail is important, ensuring all administrative tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Have strong communication skills and be solution focused.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

**Parakiore Recreation and Sports Centre**:

Parakiore was a Ngāi Tūāhuriri hero renowned for his resilience, determination and agility.

**Additional Information | Ko ētahi atu kōrero**:

- Salary: From $74,394 to $82,660 per annum, based on a 40-hour working week.
- Hours: Parakiore Recreation and Sports Centre**: Sunday to Thursday, 8.30am-5.00pm
- Hours: Te Pou Toetoe: Linwood Pool: Sunday to Thursday, various shifts
