**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**

An opportunity has come up for an enthusiastic and innovative nurse to join a dynamic nursing team in a permanent, part-time (0.9FTE) capacity as a Clinical Charge Nurse. The purpose of this position is to provide clinical expertise and leadership for the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). This position manages the day to day requirements of the PICU service delivery, ensuring that delivery contributes to a better patient experience and health outcomes and this is in line with organisational requirements.

Starship's PICU is the only dedicated 24 bed paediatric intensive care/high dependency care unit in NZ. We support all inpatient medical and surgical services and provide care to children from around NZ who require respiratory support for more than 24 hours.

**Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills**

To be successful in this role you will
- Have NZ Nursing Council registration with a current Annual Practising Licence
- Have expert clinical practice
- Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience post registration in relevant nursing specialty
- Have obtained the appropriate post-graduate qualification
- Be working towards completion of Masters Degree
- Have a strong commitment to leading professional development, quality care and whānau centred nursing
