**_ The Role and Opportunity_**
We have two positions available to assist the High-Grade Seed Production Unit of Grasslanz Technology (a subsidiary of AgResearch) to harvest valuable seed crops in Lincoln. You will be supported within a team environment, and learn about grass, cereal, and legume seed production.
These positions will fixed term and will run from mid-November to mid February to fit with the university summer holidays.

**The Project**
- November/December -Various maintenance tasks such as staking and/or bagging plants, setting up bird netting, rogueing weeds and off type plants from crops
- January and February - we will be harvesting grass, legume and cereal seeds followed by processing/cleaning and sampling seed lines
There will also be opportunities to assist with other work around the research station, such as irrigation, plant propagation, tiller testing for endophytes and data collection

**Your Ideal Background**
- Currently studying in a relevant tertiary course
- Be able to commit to working from Nov ‘21 - Feb ‘22 (excluding our Christmas close-down period)
- A keen attitude and motivation to work in an innovative environment
- Demonstrates safe workplace behaviour by taking all practicable steps to ensure own and other’s safety in the workplace
