**Rural Hospital Medicine Registrar**

If you are looking to grow as a rural hospital clinician, reinforce skills, and broaden your experience then we would love to speak with you.

Te Whatu Ora Lakes offers a great place to live and work with numerous lakes and rivers on your doorstep for water sports and world class walking and cycling tracks for you to explore and conquer.

Lakes provides secondary care services to a large rural region with complex health needs. Registrars gain valuable experience managing a wide variety of conditions including those rarer conditions such as rheumatic fever, tuberculosis and meningococcal disease.

We invite you to join our accredited comprehensive training programme also available via RNZCGP DRHM. By joining our programme you will become part of a young, dynamic team of rural hospital registrars and consultants across Taupo and Rotorua hospitals and community sites during your four year training. Your training will comprehensively cover all requirements of your DRHMNZ training programme during your employment with Te Whatu Ora Lakes.

We provide close supervision for trainees in acute and outpatient settings, combined with a strong commitment to teaching.
Te Whatu Ora Lakes is committed to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and holds stewardship for equitable health outcomes for Māori as Tāngata Whenua as the highest priority.
