Mitre 10 continues to dominate the NZ DIY retail market through both its market share and number of stores throughout the country and you can be part of our continuing success by joining the team at Mitre 10 Kerikeri.

Kiwi love to garden and we love to assist them with their gardening needs. We are looking for an experienced retail sales professional with green fingers and a customer-focused attitude. Either way you will enjoy helping our customers select the right plants, along with all the dry goods and hardware, whether it's fertilizers and pest control or gardening gloves and a wheelbarrow. A sound knowledge of plants and plant care is required. Our garden centre is a fast-paced area and heavy lifting is part of the role so a reasonable standard of physical fitness is a must

Vacancy Available:
1 X 32 hours per week with one weekend day shift

1 X 40 hours per week with one weekend day shift

Ideally you will be experienced with the sale of both green and dry garden goods.

**Requirements**:

- Enthusiasm and team spirit;
- A passion for customer service excellence;
- Good time management;
- A quick and alert mind, with the ability to adapt and be flexible
- Willingness to learn; and
- Excellent communication skills
- A good working knowledge of vegetable gardens, landscaping and products required to plant and grow healthy gardens
- Experience and knowledge in green goods and garden varieties, garden hardware and associated products such as fertilizers and plant food are essential
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be able to work on a roster including a weekend day

The Successful applicant will be responsible for:

- Growing sales by providing exceptional customer service
- Maintain high merchandising standards & manage stock
- Work closely & providing assistance in other departments if required
- Heavy lifting and physical movement is required
- Promoting health and safety, ensuring safe work practices within your team at all times.
