**The role**
As a Glove and Barrier Team Leader Line Mechanic, you will lead a team to manage and deliver work safely, efficiently and positively, while providing technical support, scoping and planning assistance as needed. In this role, you will report to the Delivery Manager - Construction and be based in New Plymouth, in the beautiful Taranaki area. Your top priority will be the safety of yourself and those around you.
- You will also be responsible for:_
- Leading and supporting your team across all day-to-day tasks in line construction and maintenance
- Assisting with scoping, planning, and resourcing work to ensure safe and efficient delivery
- Completing WTC competency assessments, field audits, and quality checks
- Conducting toolbox meetings and ensure all equipment and vehicles are compliant and fit for purpose
- Oversee the completion of field documentation, reports, and incident records

**Who we’re looking for?**
- To succeed in this role, it’s essential to have the following:_
- 5+ years’ experience as a Line Mechanic (G&B qualified)
- ERWB registration and WTC competency
- Strong working knowledge of industry codes, practices, and safety standards (including SE-MI)
- Proven leadership experience and ability to motivate and coordinate teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Full NZ Driver’s Licence (Class 2 preferred)
- Physically fit and able to work in varied outdoor conditions
- Committed to continuous improvement, safety, and professional growth
