**Summary**We’re excited to be opening a new housing and recovery service in Miramar, Wellington that will be delivering mental health and wellbeing services. If you’re interested to be a part of this new service then keep reading to find out more.
**Role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi**We’re looking for a group of people to join our new Wellington Pathways residential Miramar team, supporting people to regain their mental health and independence.

**Role 1: Sunday to Thursday, working 2.30pm - 11.00pm**Role 2: Friday to Monday, working 7.00am - 3.30pm**Role 3: Friday to Monday, working 2.30pm - 11.00pm**Role 4: Tuesday - Saturday, working 2.30pm - 11.00pm**Role 5: Saturday - Tuesday, working 10.45pm - 7.15am**Role 6: Wednesday - Friday, working 10.45pm - 7.15am**Role 7: Saturday - Monday, working 10.45pm - 7.15am**
While you will have some regular tasks that you do each day, no two days will ever be the same and you will be constating learning as you go You might be kept busy supporting people with budgeting and independent daily living skills or attending appointments and advocating for people. Or you might be assisting people to connect with their communities. You’ll need to be prepared to do whatever it takes - cleaning, cooking, gardening, personal care or helping out with everyday household tasks. The work may be in people’s homes or supporting them to access services and make connections in the community.
Initially you will be supporting one person to regain their mental independence but will eventually be supporting up to three guests.
Please note, you may be at times required to support other Pathways and Real Services.

**The Team**You’ll be reporting to the Team Coach and joining our Wellington Pathways’ Residential team, working with a team of other passionate Support Workers - all with a common purpose to support people in their recovery from mental distress
**You | Mōu**:We’re looking for someone who is a great team player, who loves to have a laugh and wants to work in a close knit and supportive team. You’ll have excellent time management skills, strong attention to detail and be able to problem solve. You’ll have good admin skills, be practical and have plenty of common sense. Of course, you’ll also have heaps of initiative and be keen to learn.
**You’ll also have**:
- A current full New Zealand driver’s licence
- A current first aid certificate or be willing to obtain one
- Hold the New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (NZCHW) or a recognised equivalent or be currently studying towards this qualification or a recognised equivalent. Alternatively, you will commence study towards this within six months of starting your employment with Pathways. This needs to be completed within two years of commencement. Pathways offers significant support for support workers to complete this study.
The Covid-19 Public Health (Vaccination) Order requires the full vaccination of anyone conducting high-risk work in the health and disability sector, or who does not necessarily provide a health service but works in a role that requires frequent contact/engagement with those who do. Therefore all workers within the Wise Group are required by the Order to be vaccinated.
