Can you bring a Pacific worldview to the work we are doing to achieve better health outcomes for Pacific people in Aotearoa? We know many areas of the health system are not working well for Pacific people, aiga, ngutuare tangata, famili, kāinga, magafoa, kaiga, vuvale and kaaiga (families) and communities. In fact, Pacific health inequities are observed throughout the lifecourse, from pregnancy and early childhood through to older age.
In Pacific Health, we have a clear vision of a system that allows the strength of Pacific families and community voice to be at the heart of what we do, delivering equitable health outcomes for Pacific people and a future where Pacific families live longer, healthier lives.
The Pacific values of family, service, love, reciprocity and respect, along with Pacific culture and customs, influence the way we think and every action we take.
We have an opportunity for a **Manager, Workforce Monitoring **to join our Pacific Workforce Development team. The role is responsible for developing and implementing a Pacific equity health workforce outcomes and monitoring framework that sets the targets at national, regional, district and local levels. It will also develop, build and maintain relationships with the wider Pacific Health Group, relevant Te Whatu Ora teams including the Service Improvement and Innovation and People and Communications teams, Te Aka Whai Ora, Manatu Hauora, Pacific providers and other key stakeholders.
**Mōu | About you**
This is an exciting opportunity for you to advance the Pacific workforce priorities to transform the workforce development approach and enable Pacific people to thrive across multiple settings through a whole-of-system view. You will have substantial, proven operational and management experience in the health sector in a complex environment, with a sound understanding of the challenges and inequities in Pacific Health. Your relationship management skills and ability to create and maintain partnerships and community networks that enable effective relationships across sectors and organisations particularly with Pacific Peoples, groups and/or community partners will be key.
