**The Role of Barista / Front-of-House team member**We are looking for a warm, energetic and dynamic person with great coffee, serving and people skills to:

- Delight all our customers and to keep them coming back for the best organic coffee and food in town
- Increase sales and promote our business
- Fit seamlessly into a small, high-performing and friendly team

We are a renowned café, restaurant and boutique grocer based in Auckland’s city centre. We focus on offering ethically-sourced, locally-produced, high-quality food, beverages, Scarecrow Brand Foods (including chilled Ready to Eat Meals) and giftware. We are proudly independent and privately-owned.

**Skills and Experience**:
We're looking for someone who loves hospitality and people. You will be welcoming to the customers, remember names, faces and the orders of our regulars. You will have a great work ethic, have proven experience working in a busy hospitality environment and strive for providing the best customer experience and aspire to ever-improving standards.

The successful applicant will:

- have at least 1 years’ hospitality experience
- Barista experience
- be flexible and willing to work weekends and occasional evening events
- have good sales skills
- ideally have grocery retail experience
- have a mature outlook with a “can do” approach
- have the right to work in New Zealand
- have an excellent command of written and spoken English
- Be fully vaccinated against Covid 19
