Wood Machinist

Our client is seeking multiple Wood Machinists to join our company located in Canterbury.

They are offering rotational dayshift/nightshift and weekend opportunities.

There company is a processingmanufacturing plant who supply major domestic and international customers with pallets, bins & cable drums to their specific requirements.

$29.66 per hour

These are permanent full-time roles, requiring a minimum commitment of 40 hours per week.

A successful applicant must be able to operate machinery to process timber components

according to specifications, including cutting, planning, shaping, and sanding.

Assemble products to customer specifications based on job sheets.

Conduct quality checks on workmanship and machined components.

- Thicknesser Machine
- Cut to Length Machine
- Edge Bander
- Table Saw
- Drop Saw

Job Requirements:

- Wood Machinist with a minimum of two years relevant work experience,
- Prior experience as a Wood Machinist, including proficiency with bandsaws, table saws,
- thicknesser/planer, and handheld nail guns,
- Physical fitness and ability to work effectively in a team,
- Demonstrated reliability and excellent work history,
- Commitment to health and safety protocols,
- Strong written and verbal communication skills,
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test,
