Join Programmed today as our new Assistant Gardener in either our Street or cemetery team.

**He krero mu: About you**

In this role, your main responsibility is to look, learn and act with the new skills you have been shown. Naturally, you will have passion for green spaces and enjoying working outdoors. Previous experience in horticulture would be viewed as a positive but not necessary.

A Clean full or restricted New Zealand Class1 driver licence and the ability to drive manual vehicles is a MUST for this role.

Willing to listen & learn how to do things on site.

Learn & grow into the horticulture industry.

**Ng huatanga kei a mtou: What we offer**

The work will offer you a great opportunity to develop skills across the wider range of services deliver, rather than a single skillset (e.g. horticulture and turf management) We offer competitive rates of pay, as well as continuous ongoing growth and development.

You will be working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (5-days roster). There is also some overtime opportunity at a rate of time and half after 40 hours worked.

**He angittanga: The opportunity**

We currently have 2 vacancies in both our Streets team and our Waikumete Cemetery team.

The Streets team will see you working and moving across multiple sites maintaining existing gardens. Plenty of variety in your day as you will move throughout western to central suburbs alongside the Streets team.

The Waikumete role will have you based at the beautiful scenic Waikumete cemetery in Henderson, West Auckland. An early start and finish are on offer in this role, 6:30am to 3:00pm and a quick drive home for a local

In this role, your main responsibility is to look, learn and act with the new skills you have been shown.

At Programmed we deliver a high standard quality outcome in Turf maintenance (including mowing, edging and spraying) and other horticultural activities such as maintenance of annual/perennial beds and rose gardens, hedge trimming and mulching.

With the right attitude you will get enough experience and training to go for a Qualified role and progress your career in Horticulture.
