We are looking for **fun, friendly and competent** team members to work part-time at our after-school care programme, we are seeking staff for our **Island Bay and Houghton Valley **locations. **If you enjoy working with children this will be a very rewarding role for you** The job is best suited to applicants **living in or near Houghton Valley and/or Island Bay.** **Job requirements**:

- Availability for after school hours **2 50 pm onwards for at least three afternoons per week (weekdays)** **is essential. **There may also be opportunity for morning shifts in future.
- Applicants must be able to work during the semester breaks as this role will be run through the term time for primary schools which differs from the times of university breaks and semester times.
- **Applicants must be able to work in a team environment, have good communication skills, and enjoy working with children**. A current first aid certificate and access to your own transport is an advantage.

Hours of work will vary between **3 to 10 hours per week** during term time, and 5- 15 hours per week during school holiday periods. Staff will be required to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all children on the programme and to assist in the delivery of a quality programme that includes sports, cooking, arts and crafts activities, as well as keeping the venue clean and tidy
- **Note** : successful applicants will be required to have a police check._ _Our organisation takes its child safety and child protection responsibilities seriously, staff recruitment is carried out in accordance with the requirements of the Vulnerable Children Act (2014)._

**Salary**: From $21.20 per year

Schedule:

- Afternoon shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- No weekends

COVID-19 considerations:
All staff are currently required to wear a mask while working in our programmes.
