**About the Role**

The** Sales and Partnership Manager** will promote and assist with on-brand messaging to guests through traditional, digital, and social media channels all with the goal of enhancing the image of the venue. This role helps build direct marketing plans, targeted campaigns, and activated channels to the end of driving consumer awareness and preference, increasing market share, and building a broad brand awareness.

Responsible for outreach campaigns particularly to international clientele. Additionally, will be responsible to follow marketing campaigns as directed by the General Manager.

Key Accountabilities
- Execute and deliver sales campaigns and annual marketing plan to budget, in consultation with the General Manager.
- Actively create sales initiatives to promote the venue in all relevant segments of the domestic and international market.
- Delivering key tourism & sales partnerships resulting in meeting sales targets
- To help build and promote the Wai Ariki brand
- Create and coordinate special services for groups including group bookings, special events & function sales & lead delivery
- Identify and target specific market segments for potential corporate clientele to promote Wai Ariki Hot Springs & Spa
- Maintain, build and nurture relationships with guests and clients
- Maintain and build a network of tourism partnerships

Desired Skills & Experience

Essential
- Minimum three years' experience in a similar role leading tourism, sales and partnerships
- Proven track record of sales and relationships to wholesale agents & key tourism partners
- NZ Police check
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Competent in IT and using all associated Microsoft products

Desirable
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, communications, or business (or related field)
- Qualification in Te Reo Mori
- Ability to understand and speak Te Reo Mori
- Experience in marketing wellness facilities highly regarded
- First Aid Certificate
- Sound knowledge and understanding of tikanga and Te Ao Mori
- An understanding of Ngti Whakaue Culture
- An understanding of Te Whare Tapa Wh model
