We are looking for experienced
**Meat Workers** to be part of our Napier-based client who are into processing lamb and operating year-round manufacturing of products destined for both domestic and export markets.
Every day is distinct and gives you the opportunity to gain experience in both areas of the process thanks to our client's alternate-day processing schedule, which involves primary processing (slaughter) one day and secondary processing (boning) the next.
The typical working hours are 6 am to 3 pm, Monday through Friday. with the choice to work additional hours.
**Knife handlers with experience - Starting pay is $27.80 per hour plus 8% holiday pay**
- We are seeking butchers or boners with extensive training and knowledge.
- Two years or more of butchering and/or boning expertise.
- Make a commitment to working in both the Primary (Slaughter) and Secondary (Boning) sectors.
**Lamb Technicians - Starting pay is $23.20 per hour plus 8% holiday pay**
- We have positions available for people with expertise in the meat industry on the line but not with a knife. Working as a laborer on the slaughter floor performing primary processing as well as secondary processing, packaging, and chiller work.
**Hygiene Cleaners - $25.00/hourly rate + 8% holiday pay**
- Evening Shift which begins at 3-30 pm to 11pm Monday through Friday (Varies, pending end of processing)
- It is ideal that you have prior experience with industrial cleaning and/or knowledge of processing plant hygiene practices.
All necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be provided because health and safety are essential.
