**The role**

We’re looking for a motivated full-time Senior Full Stack Developer to join our high performing Development team.

With on the ground guidance from our Development Team Leader, collaborating regularly with our Product Owner and working alongside other developers, this role ensures the seamless execution of our innovative financial education platforms. As a Senior Developer, you will be primarily responsible for architecting, crafting, reviewing, and maintaining great code to uphold our commitment to excellence. You will have sufficient experience in our core technologies and exemplify systems thinking, considering how actions today affect the bigger picture.

You’ll work across all three of our platforms (Banqer Primary, Banqer High Junior, and Banqer Senior) and any future projects. Utilising the full stack (Rails + Angular), as a senior you will be able to hit the ground running delivering your work, and also support more junior team members deliver theirs. You’ll tackle complex scaling and optimisation challenges, architect intelligent solutions, and ensure we maintain best practice across a full-stack environment, continuously improving our platforms’ efficacy in the market.

**Key Responsibilities**

Technical Development and Quality Assurance:

- Architect, deliver, and maintain features across our platforms (Rails + Angular) with a focus on high-quality, scalable code.
- Review code and provide constructive feedback to ensure best practices and maintainability.
- Manage server configurations and DevOps processes to support product performance and scalability, maintaining a low bug presence and addressing issues promptly.

Collaboration and Leadership:

- Work closely with the Development Team Leader and Product Owner to align development activities with product goals.
- Support junior developers through mentorship, providing guidance and feedback to enhance team skills and output.
- Document processes and codebases to facilitate knowledge sharing and streamline onboarding for team members.

Innovation and Product Growth:

- Contribute to product ideation, helping identify new features and solutions that drive engagement and support Banqer’s growth.
- Rapidly prototype new solutions that can scale to meet revenue growth targets and evolving user needs.

**Requirements**:

- Senior level of experience in at least one of our two major frameworks; Rails and Angular. Bonus points for senior experience in both.
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within a start-up environment (comfortable in a fast-paced agile environment).
- Highly organised self-starter who can own an opportunity and manage their deliverables, as well as logically justify decisions made.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate across teams clearly and concisely.
- It would be advantageous to have experience in AWS, and Terraform, but this isn’t a dealbreaker.
