**Our Wellington branch is expanding with the exciting launch of a brand new Prep produce plant in the coming weeks.**

**To lead the day-to-day operations of this state-of-the-art facility, we're seeking a hands-on Team Leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment.**:
**The opportunity**:
This rewarding and hands-on role offers the chance to play a pivotal role in the success of our new facility. You'll lead a dedicated team, ensuring smooth operation and exceptional customer experiences. You will possess a strong understanding of fresh produce handling and quality control.

**The Job**:

- Full-time permanent
- Location: William Durant Drive, Upper Hutt
- Position starts in 2 weeks
- Roster: Monday to Friday (5 nights per week)
- Hours: 8.30 pm to 4.00 am (approx.)

**The role**:
You will play a key part in ensuring our department runs while smoothly fostering a positive and productive work environment. Some of the key responsibilities are:

- Assist in the management of the day to day operations of the team
- Ensure the highest standards of freshness, quality, and food safety.
- Foster a collaborative and productive team environment.
- Manage the dispatch functions
- Roster management and allocation of tasks and resources
- Oversee all aspects of produce preparation, ensuring freshness and quality
- Supervise the prep produce processing operations
- Monitoring product quality before packaging by closely inspecting
- Monitor operating machines to peel, core, slice, and dice fruits and vegetables
- Maintain a clean and hygienic work area
- Strictly adhere to food safety standards and observe H&S protocols

**The person**:
You will possess a deep understanding of produce handling, quality control, and dispatch processes. You will ideally have relevant experience leading a team either in the Fresh Produce or Warehousing industry.
