We are now seeking an experienced Merchandise Planner to join our Apparel team. This role is a 12-month Parental Leave cover opportunity. This is a unique opportunity to influence product strategy, optimise performance, and deliver ranges that are both loved by our customers and commercially successful.

As the Merchandise Planner in this space, you’ll play a key role in driving category performance. Partnering with our buying and supply chain teams, you’ll analyse sales trends, forecast demand, and optimise stock strategies. Acting as the link between market insights and product availability, you’ll ensure our customers find the items they need - and love - in our collection. This is a dynamic, hands-on role where you’ll bring your commercial insight and planning expertise to shape our category success.

With strong financial acumen, assortment building skills and a real commercial mindset, you'll work collaboratively to drive optimisation and manage the product lifecycle process, whilst being consistently on top of trends and performance.

Key responsibilities include:

- Working with the Buyers on a range of assortment plans, controlling markdowns and category spend
- Setting budgets and reviewing forward plans
- Analysing product performance trends and making recommendations for improvement
- Improving stock-flow & product lifecycle management maximising our Stock ROI
- Demand planning/forecasting - includes impacts of promotional activity
- Interpreting data into a clear narrative & actionable outcomes - story telling
- Communicating data and strategy to key stakeholder

**Qualifications**
You understand retail and merchandise planning; you always have customers front of mind and can interpret data into stories, translate customer mission strategies into actionable decisions that deliver results. All things that describe you - collaborative, excellent stakeholder management and communications skills, strong influencer.

To be considered for this role you must meet the following minimum requirements:

- Retail and merchandise planning experience
- Balanced commercial acumen with numerical and analytical skills to translate data into commercial decisions
- Decisiveness in our dynamic, fast-moving environment
