**Job Title: Retail Sales Assistant (one position)**

**Location**: Christchurch, Canterbury
**Employment Type**: Full-time minimum 30 hours per week
**Salary**: Payrate $24 to $26

**About the Role**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Greeting customers and providing excellent customer service
- Assisting customers with purchases and product inquiries
- Operating the cash register and handling payments accurately
- Stocking shelves, rotating stock, and maintaining product displays
- Assisting with inventory control and restocking when necessary
- Ensuring the store is clean, tidy, and safe at all times
- Checking product expiry dates and removing unsellable items
- Supporting team members with daily operations as needed
- Complying with food safety, tobacco, and liquor sale regulations

**Requirements**:

- Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not essential
- Friendly and helpful attitude with good communication skills
- Honest, punctual, and dependable
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
- Physically fit to handle standing for long periods and light lifting
- Drug test and Ministry of Justice checks required.
