Some key responsibilities in this role include:
- To lead the Information management Team in ensuring that correct procedures and processes pertaining to all aspects of the team’s responsibilities are adhered to, in particular the regulatory aspects of the Public Records Act 2005 and having primary responsibility for ensuring competent and timely administration of Council’s Property File Request processing
- Coach, mentor, manage and develop a high performing team that exhibits Council’s values and competencies delivering on clear goals and objectives. Have a commitment to outstanding customer service while developing a team to ensure that all Council Officers are trained and understand their responsibilities including any new processes or changes to legislation
- To provide information, records and data management advice and services; including ongoing development and implementation of FNDCs information, records and data management strategy, policy, processes and systems and support for the Council as a whole to influence the organisation’s strategic response to future information management issues
- To provide the public, elected members and staff with safe storage and retrieval systems for Council’s information and participating in Councils Customer Experience program to improve satisfaction
- Demonstrate specialist and technical knowledge regarding information management issues, the Information Management Standard and other mandatory standards issued by Archives NZ, the Public Records Act, property file request processing, policy formulation, and departmental management
- Contribute to the ongoing review of information management processes to make innovative improvements that allow Council to derive maximum operational and business value from information management assets, meet customer needs, and statutory requirements.
**I ā koe - About you**
- Tertiary qualification in in Information Management, Information Governance, or equivalent experience.
- 5 Years of experience in an information management role in a complex business and customer focused environment.
- 2 Years staff management experience.
- Substantial experience in designing solutions to business problems through smart use of ECM tools.
- A desire to get the best outcomes for our community.
- A progressive mindset focussed on continual improvement.
- The ability to build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.

The salary for this position is **Grade 16** within Council's salary structure **($81,584 - $95,981 per annum)** dependent on qualifications and experience, plus Kiwi Saver.
