Implemented in 2020, **Te Kūwatawata ki Hauraki **is our mental health immediate response service that uses a holistic Māori approach based on the Mahi a Atua framework. Mahi a Atua is an engagement approach, an assessment process and an intervention framework that utilises Māori pūrākau (creation stories) to better understand and interpret the experience(s) of whānau experiencing distress and find pathways towards wellbeing.
Our Hinengaro (Mental Health Services) team are currently seeking a **full time (1.0 FTE) Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) Clinician **for our Thames location. We are looking for experienced professionals (with a qualification in applied AOD studies, nursing, social work, counselling, psychology, occupational therapy or related fields, registered with DAPAANZ or an equivalent professional body) who are passionate about working with whānau experiencing distress (mental health conditions, and/or addiction or other drug issues) in Hauraki rohe. This opportunity will include training in primary mental health as well as Mahi a Atua wānanga.
