**ABOUT THE FM CONTRACT**

Ventia have been engaged by Auckland Council to provide Full Facility Management services including planned, preventive and reactive maintenance services, ad hoc services, minor works and soft services, for 8 of Auckland Council local boards, combined into 2 contract area’s called Tahi and Wha.

It is Venita’s ultimate responsibility to ensure that Auckland and its assets are maintained in a manner that: is compliant with statutory guidelines; minimises equipment downtime and whole of life expenditure. Ventia will achieve this through implementing safety, quality and environmental processes, utilising ISO 55000 asset management standards and engaging an experienced and qualified team.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

Reporting to the Project Director, this Senior Facilities Management role will act as the primary point of contact for Auckland Council Area Managers in relation to the delivery of all Facilities Management Services within Tahi Region (North Shore)

This is a strategic, leadership role responsible for contractual, operational, financial, and customer relationship management in relation to all Hard and Soft FM services provided within the contract.

The Operations Manager is expected to build and manage a team who succeed as individuals, actively collaborate with one another and are willing to be part of a culture of knowledge sharing for the benefit of the development of the FM team as a whole.

**ABOUT YOU**

Your strong FM experience, combined with your driven, autonomous, energetic working style, will equip you to manage multiple and often conflicting work priorities whilst delivering value for money and seamless facilities maintenance services to the council.

Your excellent interpersonal skills coupled with your strong knowledge in Hard and Soft FM services will enable you to build rapport and credibility with client representatives to develop mutually beneficial working relationships.

Your track record as a coach, leader and mentor of people will ensure that your team have a clear understanding of best asset maintenance practices, and are provided with technical advice when required. Your diligence and attention to detail will guarantee that contract deliverables including

periodic document reviews are met on time.

**Other essential skills/experience required**:

- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant facilities or asset management field
- Real contracting experience in a similar field
- Experience in soft services facilities management such as security or cleaning is an advantage
- Financial acumen is highly critical
- The ability to manage multiple operations teams simultaneously

This position will suit a strong FM leader with strong problem solving skills, the ability to rise up to a challenge, is motivated by thriving in a demanding work environment and is highly flexible with changing work priorities.
