Procurement Specialist

**About the role**

Our Procurement Team are responsible for managing the delivery of supplier negotiations and procurement services for strategic non-stock goods and services to Foodstuffs North Island and our members.

A wildly varied role, no two days will ever be the same As Procurement Specialist, a few cool things you’ll be responsible for include:

- Leading procurement projects from inception to completion
- Running/supporting end to end RFX processes including market analysis, documentation creation, evaluation, negotiation, selection and contract implementation
- Drafting and negotiating agreements and statements of work
- Collaborating with suppliers to ensure the business is maximising value
- Providing analytical support where required

**About you**

In the early stages of your procurement career or an analyst looking for a change into a commercial role, you’ll enjoy the variety that comes from working in a project-based role. Ideally you’ll have experience in or will have had exposure to the following:

- End to end management of RFQ/RFI processes
- Commercial services and ideally will have some knowledge of procurement/strategic sourcing
- Leading supplier negotiations
- A working knowledge of commercial contracts

An excellent communicator with excellent planning skills, you’ll enjoy working collaboratively - building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers. Your attention to detail will be second to none as you’ll be managing proposal and quote processes from initiation to completion.

This is a great position which will allow you to learn and grow across a number of different indirect categories with one of NZ’s largest grocery retailers.
