**Asset Maintenance Technician**

**About the role**

Our Structures team plays an important part in helping to keep Rotorua well maintained and beautiful.
- Maintaining outdoor structures such as playgrounds, fences, retaining walls, concreting, jetties board walks and bridges.
- Construction and maintenance of paths and tracks both hard surface and natural.
- Playground maintenance and renewal.
- Construction and renewal of assets.
- Clearing and maintaining as required boat ramps and jetties in the region.

**About you**

We’re looking for someone who:

- Has a current full NZ driver’s license
- Carry out maintenance to the required specifications on playgrounds and structures such as (but not limited to) playgrounds, furniture, fences, pathways, edging, surfaces, gardens, jetties and boat ramps etc. For the Rotorua District.
- Be highly detail focused
- Work in a methodical manner
- Use online app based programme to record inspections
- Strong communication skills
- Be adaptable
- Proven capability to work unsupervised and be self-motivated
- Understanding and commitment to hazard identification and risk assessment
- Be physically fit,
- Positive, punctual and reliable
