**What you’ll be doing**:
The role of the Capex and Fixed Asset Specialist is to drive the financial performance of Chorus through leading the maintenance of an accurate Fixed Asset Register (approximately $5.5 billion net book value) and high-quality asset reporting and analysis for the Chorus group. The role has responsibility over the asset registers and its related master-data in SAP, the projects lifecycle as it translates into SAP and assets accounting as it feeds into internal and external reporting processes (including asset-related aspects of the audit process).

Some of your day-to-day responsibilities will also include:

- Complex data analysis required to support financial and regulatory requirements
- The collection of data required for compliance and statutory purposes (i.e. IRD, asset revaluation, impairment considerations and rating valuations)
- The reconciliation of network metrics from GIS to supplement the Fixed Asset financial records
- Provide recommendations to and influence the business based on data analysis outcomes
- Depreciation Modelling - produce the depreciation forecast across Chorus in a timely and effective manner
- Support the month-end GL assets close process for Chorus
- Responsible to produce asset related reports and analysis to enable accurate and consistent reporting of the FAR
- Ownership of lease reporting
- Prepare robust, accurate schedules for month end capital expenditure with meaningful and insightful to budgets
- Collate supporting information and documents as required
- Responsible to produce project related reports and analysis as required

**What you’ll bring to the table**:

- Qualified Chartered Accountant or working towards qualification, an advantage
- Expert in Excel and data handling
- Experience in ERP, SAP or similar
- Ability to present reporting insights to the business
- Develops and maintains effective relationships
- Results focused, action bias and a strong task completer
- Work equally well in team environment or self-started, with strong time management skills.
