Community Support Worker

We are looking for dynamic, energetic and conscientious Individuals that can support our new clients living with complex injuries/disabilities within their own home. Being ready for action is a must as our clients need the team to be able to keep up and help them live their best lives
These are 24/7 cares, we are looking for someone who would be comfortable covering am and pm shifts, which would include sleepovers and weekend work. So being flexible with hours is a must If successful you will be joining established teams of highly skilled staff, working within a positive and supportive environment.
This rewarding role involves:
- Assisting the clients with personal cares, home help, shopping assistance, and meal preps
- Supporting exercise programmes
- Moving and handling clients using hoists and manual transfers
- Assisting the client to access the community

- A full driver’s license and confidence driving a mobility van (training can be provided)
- Experience with Hoists and Manual Transfers
- A qualification in Healthcare/Disability would be preferable but not essential.Previous experience with spinal cord injuries would be preferred
- Flexibility to cover a variety of shifts
- Great communication and organisational skills
- NZ Residency or valid NZ Open work visa
- Evidence of your vaccination status (as per the COVID-19 Public Health Response (Vaccinations) Order 2021 which specifies that all frontline workers must be vaccinated)
