**Team Medical** is a locally owned practice working in association with Green Cross Health. We are an integrated family health centre passionately providing a full range of GP Care to our enrolled patients and Urgent Care for accidents and urgent medical needs to our community.

As a key health hub to the Kapiti Coast our Urgent Care services operate 7 days a week from 8am - 10pm. We also have full X-Ray facilities on site.

Our Urgent Care Nurse lead plays an essential role in the advancement of our Urgent Care Nursing team. As part of our Leadership Team you will play a key role in the overall planning and performance of the Centre. Team Medical is committed to having nursing leaders as integral part of the medical centre leadership team.

**About the Position and You**:
We have an exciting opportunity for a registered nurse to lead the Urgent Care nursing team at Team Medical. We are looking for someone who can bring clinical excellence, great ideas for productive and efficient methods of working and a passion for outrageously good customer service in primary care.

**This is a 40 hour per week role worked over 7 days - Monday to Sunday.**

The Nurse Lead leads the Urgent Care nursing team, which includes Registered Nurses and Healthcare Assistants to provide a safe, high quality, efficient and effective Urgent Care nursing service to the practice and community population. You will be responsible for recruitment, day to day management, collaboration with the centre leadership team, development and implementation of new and existing models of care designed to improve health outcomes and will be working closely with the GP Nurse Team Lead to ensure we provide the effective and efficient running of a medical centre. You will also undertake a clinical component.

- Clinical experience and passion for, primary care and primary care nursing
- Proven quality improvement experience
- Postgraduate qualification is highly desirable
- Great communication skills at all levels with patients, their whānau, your whanau mahi colleagues and allied business partners
- Advanced computer skills
- You will be committed to the principles and practices of health equity
- You must be registered with current practicing and CPR certificates.
