Lifeguard

**Te kōwhiringa | The Opportunity**

Spotless (a Downer company) holds four (4) Contracts with the New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF) for the provision of Facilities Maintenance and Management Services. Pool management is one of the important services we provide to our customer.

Our lifeguards are our primary relationship holders at the pools that we manage and must be prepared to provide a high level of customer service.

Reporting to the Pool Team Leader, you will provide a range of lifeguard services, including but not limited to:

- Keeping people safe and spotting potential hazards.
- Patrolling the pool(s) in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the site.
- Undertaking regular checks of water temperature and water quality.
- Maintaining outstanding presentation of our facilities; and
- Providing great customer service to our pool users.

**Nga pūkenga matua | Important Skills**
- You will be physically fit and must be a competent swimmer. You will enjoy being poolside and helping our customers to have a great pool experience.
- You will have a current Pool Lifeguard Practicing Certificate (PLPC) and a current First Aid Certificate.
- You will need to be reliable, willing to work shifts and able to roll your sleeves up to get the work done.
- Good verbal communication skills, plus a happy disposition, will complement your personal tool kit.
