**_Job description Awake Night Shift Support Worker_**

**Hours**:Casual - Shift Work (11pm - 7am)**

**Job specific information**:
This role supports the Midland Region and is based in Hamilton.

The purpose of the position is to work alongside disabled children and their families, create a fun, positive homely environment to nurture children’s needs on short breaks away from home.

The support provided will foster positive relationships between families, and those using the service, other CCS Disability Action staff and ensure a friendly and flexible service which meets the needs of those who use the service.

We value employee wellbeing - access to free independent counselling services.

**About you**:

- You will enjoy working with children or in a in a team setting
- You will hold or being willing to attain a New Zealand Certificate in Health & Wellbeing - Level 2 (or above) and a relevant First Aid certification.
- Experience in a service delivery organisation and understanding of the disability sector, would be an advantage.
- An all-round night owl, able and willing to turn your hand to any task, not fazed by personal cares
- Able to react quickly and remain calm under pressure.
- Full New Zealand Drivers Licence.
