Drainlayer Wanted
Work Location: Auckland Region
Employment type: Full time (minimum 30 hours per week, workdays from Monday to Saturday), Permanent role
Our pay: $28.00-$35.00 per hour depending on skills and experience
Excellent opportunity to join a successful and well-established Auckland based construction company and become a part of a great team. We are now looking for 1 Drainlayer to join our supportive team.
Here’s what we need from you:
- Have at least 2 years’ relevant work experience in the same field/industry, OR
- have a relevant NZ level 4 qualification or equivalent qualifications/certificates
- Full registration as a drainlayer is not compulsory, exemption license is acceptable Tasks include:
- Install, repair, and maintain below-ground drainage systems in accordance with industry standards and regulations
- Read blueprints, design drainage systems based on project requirements and site conditions
- Cut concrete floor, dig trenches, remove rocks and earth for laying drains
- Measure, cut, join and seal drains as per specifications
- Install pipes and piping fixtures for water or sewage systems
- Identify and troubleshoot drainage issues and propose cost-effective solutions
- Lay and repair sewage and storm water drain and install and repair wastewater treatment systems
- Consult with clients and other trades people about where the drains or wastewater treatment systems are to be laid or repaired this is especially important regarding underground gas pipes.
- Ensure compliance with building codes and set safety standards
