**We are currently seeking reliable Truck Drivers to join our Tauranga team. We work as contractors for Mainfreight Limited.**

The position is a full-time permanent position with a minimum of 30 hrs per week which caninclude weekend work. Must be available for weekend work and who can stay away from time to time due to nature of work to complete the job. If 24 hours break is needed outside Tauranga, then company pays for accommodation and meals. The pay rate will be between $28 $32 per hour depending on the experience you have.

The successful applicant will be someone who is enthusiastic about work, who is looking for job security, and who shares our passion for driving and delivering excellent customer service.

As a minimum you will have: A clean Class 4/5 NZ license or overseas equivalent. One years truck driving experience will be preferred. We will do pre-employment Drug testing.

**Your Job duties will include**:

- Delivering a wide variety of Goods and Cargo to different routes and various regions.
- Follow routes and time schedule.
- Load, unload, prepare, inspect, and operate a delivery vehicle.
- Maintain clear records of deliveries made.
- Complete log books on time and reports accurately and in a timely clear manner.
- Ensure the truck is loaded appropriately at all times and the material is recorded correctly.
- Ensure all loads comply with height, weight and specification at all times.
- Driving class 4/5 trucks
- Conducting road worthiness and safety checks prior to each journey.
- Drive vehicle combinations to destinations in accordance with regulations and company procedures.
- Hook and unhook trailers from prime movers or lead trailers including manoeuvring into place.
- Perform frequent lifting, pulling, pushing and carrying of freight.
- Ensure accurate deliveries without damage and within timeframes
- Estimating weights to comply with load limitations and ensuring safe distribution of weight
- Ensure to report any incidents
- Ensure Road User Charges (RUC), Registration and COF are up to date.
- Maintain and regularly inspect company vehicle for safe operations.
- Ensure that all load documentation required to move with freight is available for inspection and that appropriate paperwork accompanies freight when delivered
- Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
- Be physically fit
- Be able to self-load.
- Have a clear criminal record.
- Have commitment to health and safety
- Have good attention to detail.
- Have good communication skills
