Bakery 2ic

PAK'nSAVE Tauriko in the lovely Bay of Plenty is looking for Bakery 2IC to join our friendly and motivated team. The purpose of this role is to assist the Department Manager in maximising sales and achieving specified profit margins whilst managing expenses, stock levels and the Department Team so that our customers receive an outstanding shopping experience.

This is a full-time permanent role Tuesday to Sunday assisting with leading a team of 9 team members.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Assisting with the leadership of the team
- Help to ensure the store is full fresh and appealing throughout the hours of trade
- Assisting with purchasing requirements and liaising with suppliers
- Maintain Health and Safety and Food Safety Compliance in the Department.
- Maintain 100% price integrity in the department.
- Undertake the assigned tasks of a Baker as required.

**ESSENTIAL**
- Bakery, food retail or FMCG experience
- Physically fit and able to fulfil the requirements of the role.

**DESIRED**
- Good command of written and spoken English
- Good basic maths skills
- Bakery qualification
- Unit standards 497, 167 & 168
- Supervisory experience
