**The business**
Our client provides support to the charitable sector, assisting Trustees to manage their charities and further their charitable purpose. This organisation is values driven with a strong commercial focus always striving to assist their charitable partners through providing quality information to enable principled decision making.
**The role**
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the role has two core functions:
- Managing the day-to-day and monthly financial function of several charities
- Supporting the Accounts Payable Manager approximately one to two days per week with the Accounts Payable function for the organisation as a whole.
More specifically you will be responsible for:
- Weekly accounting including reviewing creditor invoice coding, weekly bank reconciliation and payroll
- Monthly accounting including month-end standing journals, maintaining the fixed asset register, preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- IRD and PAYE returns
- Accounts Payable processing including loading creditor and invoice details and preparation for payment.
**Your background**
- 2-3 years of accounting experience
- Previous Accounts Payable experience essential
- Computer literate

- Process driven with an eye for detail
- A great communicator who is not afraid to pick up the phone and talk to stakeholders.
