**The Cancer & Blood services at Te Whatu Ora Te Tai Tokerau are seeking a Medical Oncologist to join the team. This is a full-time, permanent position.**

Whangārei Hospital is the largest hospital in Northland providing secondary care services, supported by three regional/ rural hospitals in Kaitaia; Kawakawa, and Dargaville. The Cancer & Blood department provides a comprehensive Oncology outpatient service across the Northland region including rural areas.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated specialist to join our team in providing effective and high-quality Oncology services to the region. Ideally you will be a confident communicator as you will participate in the supervision and instruction of junior medical staff within the specialty. This role has no after-hours call requirement, and although pre-dominantly based at the Whangārei Hospital, you will have frequent opportunities to travel and work in the rural areas of Northland.

The subtropical Northland region stretches upwards from Auckland to the very top of NZ covering an area of 12,600 square kilometres with a growing population of more than 190,000. Northland is a story of two coastlines - the west coast is rugged and soulful while the east coast is relatively more sophisticated and urbane.
