Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand, Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty is spread across a vast geographical area and centred across two hospitals based in Tauranga and Whakatāne. We serve a population of approximately 259,000 for the major population centres of Tauranga, Katikati, Te Puke, Whakatāne, Kawerau and Ōpōtiki. Te Whatu Ora Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty is one of the Bay of Plenty's largest employers with over 4000 staff.
He Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the Role
Our Gateway Assessment service provides comprehensive health assessments for children referred by Child, Youth & Family services in the Western Bay and Eastern Bay of Plenty.
The coordinator's role is responsible for running the Gateway Assessment service including managing the referrals, assessment schedules, reporting and coordinating multidisciplinary meetings.
This position requires a registered health practitioner with experience working with children and families with the children and youth sector. An ability to establish and maintain productive relationships with clinical staff and agencies in particular Child, Youth & Family are key requirements.
We are looking to appoint a part-time 0.6 FTE (48 hours per fortnight) coordinator to work with another part-time coordinator who is able to do extended hours to cover when their colleague is on leave.
