We are looking for an enthusiastic
and experienced Senior Registered Nurse with extensive clinical expertise, or a
special interest in Stroke care to join our AT&R team on a permanent part-time
basis. While the position is based
within the AT&R team, the outputs of this role will include working across
the wider hospital system and post-discharge follow-up of stroke and TIA patients.
This
role provides clinical expertise and leadership to ensure safe and effective
services to individual clients. The role has a key focus on supporting our Stroke
population and their whānau. The role includes the teaching of health professionals
and facilitation of both formal and informal learning opportunities.

We are looking for a person with
extensive clinical experience preferably at a senior nurse level. They will
have participated in service and care planning within multidisciplinary teams
of professionals, focused on effective delivery of Geriatric and stroke care.
Additional

**key requirements for this position include**:

- Post-Graduate Diploma in Nursing (or working towards)
- Clinical expertise within acute or rehabilitation

Stroke care
- Evidence of attainment of Senior Nurse Level
PDRP (or working towards)
- Current registration and annual practising certificate
- Leadership,
teamwork and collaboration skills - integral to continuity of service delivery
- Good time management and the ability to
manage work in a planned and coordinated manner. Te Whatu Ora staff
must have completed their primary course of two NZ approved COVID-19
vaccinations as they have direct contact with patients and members of the
public.

The full-time equivalent salary range for this designated senior
nurse position (Grade 2) is $101,089 through to $111,695, based on the current
NZNO Nursing and Midwifery MECA, dependent on skills and experience.
